Red terracotta aryballos with a spherical body and conical base, featuring a very large flared neck. The body is decorated with a small stylized head. The object was used for transporting maize beer, known as “chicha”, and water. The rings on the sides allowed it to be carried using straps attached to the bearer’s back, while the three rings on the neck were probably used to secure the stopper. Former Pierre Pourrut Collection (1937–2014). Reassembled/restored at the neck and body.
